TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Police Department is investigating an accident in midtown.

This happened early this morning on eastbound Speedway Blvd., from north 3rd Ave. to north 2nd Ave.

Authorities on scene tell are saying the passenger in a vehicle jumped out while it was moving.  The driver of that vehicle then stopped to help the man who jumped.

According to officers on scene, the man who jumped is in stable condition. There were earlier closures, but the road has since reopened.
