TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The 2nd Annual TUSD Sports Physical Fundraiser arrives on May 10, offering sports physicals for $10.

Saturday's event will be held at Catalina Magnet High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Five physicians will be at the event, providing the physicals for the students. Some coaches will be busing student athletes to the event.

All of the proceeds from the physicals will go back into the athletic programs at TUSD schools.

"The benefit is we're providing low-cost physicals to athletes and their families. It's happening on a Saturday, which is more convenient for parents, and the proceeds go to each school's athletic department," said Holly McNulty of the UA College of Medicine and the UAMC Sports Medicine Physician Offices. "We've been working very hard reach all the coaches and trainers to make sure they're aware of this opportunity."

Students or parents who are interested should call their coach, athletic director or principal's office. They can provide informational packets. All participants will need a sports physical registration and consent form.

Walk-ins are allowed but will have to wait for a break between school groups to receive their physical.
