TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Mother's Day is just a few days away and small businesses in Tucson are busy working to help the public make the day extra special for their moms.

There are lots of ways to celebrate Mom this weekend.  For those who want to get flowers for your mom, but want them to last forever, bring her to Tohono Chul Park where mothers will get in free on Sunday.

Of course there is also the option of buying her fresh flowers and one shop, the Casas Adobes Flower Shop is working almost non-stop to make sure they can fill the flower orders.

For those who are wondering what to get mom for her special day, you can never go wrong with roses.  But if you are looking to surprise mom with something different this year, there are also choices like orchids, hydrangeas and even mini calla lilies.

Also not to be forgotten is Mexican Mother's Day, celebrated on Saturday, so florists in town are not just busy for Sunday, they are moving fast to fill orders for Saturday's celebration as well.

Wondering what day is busier for flower shops - Valentine's Day or Mother's Day? One shop has the answer for them.

"Valentine's Day is extremely busy, but I think Mother's Day kind of takes the cake," said Dodie Ortloff from Casas Adobes Flower Shop. "It's definitely, everyone loves mom and wants to take care of her so I say that it's a little bit busier.  But they are really close."

So the big question many may be asking, is it too late to order those flowers?  Many shops around Tucson are saying no there is still time, but don't wait till the last minute.

Here are a list of activities for mom's happening around Tucson this weekend - http://www.tucsonnewsnow.com/story/25415894/mothers-day-activities-southern-arizona
