TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is searching for a suspected cookie thief who they believe might also be connected to a lottery ticket robbery in the same area.

The suspect reportedly entered a Subway store in the 5000 block of N. La Canada Drive around 5:45 p.m. on April 28, stole an entire display of cookies from the front counter and fled the scene, according to PCSD Deputy Courtney Rodriguez.

Rodriguez said the suspect might have also taken a display of lottery tickets from the front counter of a Circle K store on April 17.

Authorities described the suspect as Hispanic, between 15 and 25 years old, 5'6" tall, 140 to 150 lbs., and has black hair and acne on his face. He was last seen wearing a red University of Arizona sweatshirt with a large "A" on it, and baggy jeans, according to a news release.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity or the incident is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
