The Colorado Rockies rocked Alfredo Simon Saturday beating the Reds 11-2 at Great American Ball Park.
The Rockies hit five home runs off Reds pitching, one short of the GABP record for an opponent in one game.
"Well, initially it's my fault because I started talking about how little we've been using our bullpen," said Bryan Price sarcastically after the game. "The game kind of got out of hand early."
Simon allowed a season high eight hits and five runs. The Rockies ripped 11 extra base hits off of Reds pitching.
Joey Votto homered for a second straight night.
The Reds drop to 16-19 on the season. They can win the series with a win over Colorado on Sunday.
