LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The summer sun can be brutal on your eyes when you drive. But now there's a new product out that is supposed to fix that issue. It's called the HD Vision Visor. But does it work? This week I Try It Before You Buy It!
The commercial claims, "HD vision visor clips onto any sun visor in seconds!" It does indeed do that, plus it comes completely assembled, no need to put anything together.
As I drove around, it took me a minute to get used to having the vision visor so close to my face. After adjusting it a bit it became much more comfortable. It does cut down on the glare from the sun and provides very clear vision through the visor.
The HD Vision Visor also comes with a separate nighttime visor that is supposed to help eliminate the glare from nighttime driving, especially in rainy conditions.
After doing the full test on the product, driving around the block near the station several times, I thought the product faired well. The only downfall I found for myself was that the visor does position very close to your face if you are a taller driver. For shorter drivers, this could just be the thing you've been looking for, as the cars sun visor sometimes doesn't tip down far enough to help cut the glare.
I purchased the HD Vision Visor at Walgreens for $14.99. It appears to work fairly well, at least during daytime driving. You may want to check it out!
