TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

With strong winds hitting the region, Pima County is once again keeping a close eye on air pollution.

Air advisories in 2014 have been especially bad in comparison to years past.

According to officials at the Pima County Environmental Department, so far this year they have issued seven air advisories warning people about the winds causing dust and other pollutants to be stirred up into the air.

There is a high chance they will issue another air advisory today due to more gusts.  Comparing that to this same time last year, when they had only issued four air advisories.

When the county issues air advisories they warn people to stay inside especially anyone with a health condition.

Stay with Tucson News Now for updates on these air advisories, both on air and online.
