Heroic cat honored with first pitch at baseball game

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

By now everyone has seen or heard about the heroic cat who saved a little boy from a dog attack.  What many may not know is now Tara, as she is known to her family, will be throwing out an opening pitch.

According to local media, the heroic cat and her family have been invited to throw out the first pitch at a minor league baseball game next week in Bakersfield.

    Every year, 60,000 children are seen in emergency rooms because they got into medicine. Keith Bosen, director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, said they get about 10 calls a day about a child under the age 6 getting into some sort of medication.
