TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A four vehicle accident at Cortaro Farms and Oldfather has blocked off the road in both directions and sent two people to the hospital, according to Northwest Fire Captain Adam Goldberg.

One person had to be extracted from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. The two people injured in the accident were transported to UAMC. They are both in serious but stable condition.

The road will be blocked off in both directions while crews work to clear the area.
