BMX's Recon Tour hits Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Premises Bike and Skate Park is will host the Monster Army Recon Tour Saturday for the 2nd year.

Last years event had over 65 riders from all over the United Sates including Mexico, and as away far as Columbia!!

All the riders competing demonstrated an in creditable amount of skill and absolutely amazing athletic abilities. Again this year local riders as well as riders from across the world will have a chance not only for cash prizes but also a chance to compete in a upcoming pro BMX contest with a sponsored contract.

Ryan Guettler, Pro BMX rider, and Kevin Peraza who is a local pro BMX rider here in Tucson will hold a boot camp prior to the competition on Saturday to instruct young riders on the nuances of the sport.

2014 RECON TOUR TIMELINE
10am-12pm: Onsite Registration at Ramp Riders
12pm: Riders Meeting
12:15pm: Start competition
Awards immediately follow after contest is over

2014 RECON TOUR CONTEST DIVISIONS
13-15: Open to any non-pro rider 13-15
16+: Open to any non-pro rider based on their age as of 4/26/14
Open: Non-pro rider of any age 13+;

All 6 Open division winner from each AM Contest earns an invite & travel budget to compete in PRO Recon Tour Contests, Recon Tour Am Final and Play Pro.

Premises Park is located at 330 S. Toole Ave., Suite 200 in the Armory Park neighborhood of downtown Tucson.

The fee for competitors is $20 and admission for fans is free.
