TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

AAA Memorial Day Tipsy Tow returns starting 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, helping drivers drink responsibly by providing free one-way rides for drivers and their cars.

The service is offered to help people get a safe ride home if they plan to drink at events this weekend. It is available to anyone, not just AAA members and will be available until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26.

To hire a lift, call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-888-222-4357) and request a "Tipsy Tow." The driver's name, home address, phone number and the location of the driver and their car will be required.

The AAA service is available as a one-way service for a single driver and their vehicle, no passengers will be allowed. The ride is free for any trip under 10 miles.

The service is not available to serve as a ride to another drinking location or to any destination other than the customer's home. However, customers may request to be taken to a hotel if they plan to stay there as a guest.

The Tipsy Tow service may not be used to grant other requests such as a vehicle start or flat tire changes.

More information regarding AAA's Tipsy Tow is available at www.AAA.com/TipsyTow.
