(Espreso TV/CNN) - Polls in Ukraine's presidential election are closed, and exit polls show Petro Poroshenko with a majority of the vote at 56 percent.

Poroshenko addressed supporters from his campaign headquarters, where he declared victory.

Pro-Russia separatists promised to disrupt the vote.

Voter turnout in eastern areas was expected to be very low.
