TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Marana Police arrested one suspect and are searching for two others after a reported assault near Arizona Pavillions at Cortaro and Silverbell roads.

A cab driver said he met with a former employee to discuss his termination. When the discussion did not go as planned, the former employee motioned to the other suspects, who were hiding, in an attempt to ambush the cab driver, he said.

The driver was able to get away from the suspects, though one of them allegedly threw a large rock that smashed the cab window.

A nearby officer saw the cars driving down Silverbell at speeds near 80 miles per hour and until the suspects fled their car on foot. Police said finding them was a challenge.

"Lot of challenges: Once they fled from vehicle, they ran straight out into wash which has heavy brush. We were able to call out other surrounding agencies to help us circulate the area to find the outstanding subjects."

Police arrested one person and are still looking for two others involved in this incident.
