PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police have arrested a man who they said kidnapped his 7-month-old son over the weekend.

Reyes Luis Holguin, 24, was tracked down Wednesday in the area of 8100 North 35th Avenue by Phoenix police detectives and the U.S. Marshal's Service.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked on charges of second-degree murder and additional charges.

Police said Holguin took the baby despite a court order that said he wasn't supposed to have any contact with the baby.

Holguin allegedly assaulted the mother at her home near 19th Avenue and Grant and took off with the child, police said.

The woman called 911 just before 8:45 p.m. Monday.

An Amber Alert was not issued because police said they needed entire license plate information for an Amber Alert.

Holguin is also wanted in connection with a homicide on April 27 in the area of 1500 E. Pierce in Phoenix, police said. The victim of the shooting was a 27-year-old man.
