GREEN VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Arizona Department of Transportation crews kick off a road improvement project June 2, which will delay people driving south of Tucson.

The construction is set to take place on the Interstate 19 frontage road in Green Valley between Continental Road and Canoa Road from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 6.

Workers will seal cracks on the roadway, as well as perform other road maintenance.

ADOT wants drivers to expect up to 15 minute delays in the area during roadwork hours. They'll have people on scene to direct traffic through construction zones.

Always remember to drive slowly and carefully in all work zones. Watch for workers and equipment in the area.
