Armed robber escapes with cash in Wauseon

WAUSEON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Wauseon police are searching for a man who robbed a store with a weapon late Friday night.

Police say the suspected entered the Continental Drive Thru, 1265 N. Shoop Ave, around 10 p.m., wearing gloves and an orange ski mask. The suspect was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Officers say the suspect is a white male, approximately 5'8," and weighing about 225-250 lbs.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark blue American Eagle hoodie, and an orange ski mask.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Wauseon Police Department at 419-335-3821 or 419-335-2946.

"I'm out here every day," said Ben Markwart, who was running through the area on Wednesday. Markwart isn't a stranger to Sabino Canyon.  His friend Kevin Cross joined him on Wednesday. Cross frequents the area a few times a week.
