Former Gamecock turned NFL star returns to Columbia this weekend

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A former South Carolina All-American returns to Columbia this weekend.

Buffalo Bills defensive back and former Gamecock Stephon Gilmore will be meeting fans and signing autographs two events Saturday.

Gilmore will be signing autographs and meeting fans at Garnet and Black Traditions at 228 Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce Saturday, June 7. He will be there from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Admission is free but only items purchased that day from Garnet and Black Traditions will be signed.

Saturday night, Gilmore is throwing out the first pitch at the Columbia Blowfish game when they host the Forest City Owls. The game starts at 7 p.m. and it is The U.S. Army Birthday Celebration/ Military Appreciation Ike night.

Gilmore, a native of Rock Hill, is training for his third season with Buffalo. He was drafted 10th overall by the Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft. He is the 11th Gamecock to be drafted by the Bills in team history.

Joining Gilmore on the Bills roster is their 2014 first-round draft pick, Clemson standout Sammy Watkins.
