TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Were you robbed? Tucson Police caught a man who is suspected of buying large amounts of stolen gold and silver jewelry.

David Reid, 55, is suspected of melting the jewelry down for its metal content, then reshaping it into bars and selling it to local precious metal dealers. But Tucson Police recovered a lot of jewelry that hadn't been melted yet, and other property, like coins and collectible paper currency.

On June 3 at 9 a.m., they're holding a viewing of the property. Bring your case report number that links you to these types of robberies, and they'll let you in to view the items and see if you can reclaim any of your stolen valuables.

The viewing will be held at the Tucson Police Department's Evidence Facility located at 945 East Ohio Street.
