TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A vehicle carrying an oversize load will be traveling at an extremely slow speed between Sahuarita and Whetstone.

The vehicle will be traveling at 5 MPH between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday. 

It will be escorted as it travels east on Sahuarita Road to State Route 83, south to SR-82 and east to junction at SR-90.  

The oversize vehicle left Tucson Tuesday and will travel throughout the week to Douglas. The tentative remaining schedule is:

Wednesday, June 4 – 1 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

East on Sahuarita Road to State Route 83, south to SR-82 and east to junction at SR-90.

Thursday, June 5 – 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

North on SR-90 to eastbound I-10, travel about 30 miles to US 191.

Friday, June 6 – 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

South on US 191 to SR-80 in Douglas.

Motorists are reminded to move into other lanes as they encounter the slow moving vehicle.
