Pima's Dotson named First Team All-American

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College softball outfielder Alexis Dotson added another accolade to her season on Wednesday as she was selected National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I First Team All-American.

She was named NFCA First-Team Division I All-Region last week, NJCAA First-Team All-American on May 21 and selected to the NJCAA Division I Marucci Elite Hitters Team. Dotson was named First-Team All-ACCAC Conference and Division I All-Region as well as chosen ACCAC Division I Player of the Week twice during the season.

Dotson, a freshman from Las Cruces, NM, hit .516 on the year, which included four games the Aztecs played in the Region I, Division I tournament. She had 111 hits in 215 at-bats with 36 steals, 12 triples and 38 RBIs as the softball team's lead-off hitter.
