TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man accused of killing a local gym owner faced a judge Thursday morning for a pretrial hearing.

Deitrekk Boone is one of five men charged in the 2012 murder of Crossfit Gym owner Joe Lengel. He faces several charges, including aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

Boone went on the run for more than a year before U.S. Marshals caught him in Houston, TX in December 2013.

Back in February, he pleaded not guilty.

In court Thursday, both sides could not agree upon a plea deal.

Boone's trial date is set for next Wednesday.
