The heroin epidemic is sweeping the nation and hitting home here in northeast Ohio.

WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO) -
Six men are behind bars after another drug bust in Lake County yesterday. Willoughby Police and Lake County Narcotics arrested six men on charges that include trafficking in heroin, drug abuse, tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools.
At the scene, authorities took five grams of heroin, nearly $1,000 in cash, three vehicles and drug paraphernalia. The arrests happened at the Motel 6 on Maple Grove Road in Willoughby. All suspects are residents of the Cleveland area. In a press release, Lake County Narcotics Agency Director David Frisone said police expect to make more arrests after further investigation.
Yesterday's bust is one of several made in Lake County in the past six weeks. Agencies in Lake County are cracking down on illegal drug activity in the area. Their efforts so far have resulted in 14 arrests and the seizure of thousands of dollars' worth of illegal drugs, cash and vehicles.
