Two injured in motorcycle accident

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two people were injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a pickup Friday morning on Tucson's west side.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, an eastbound pickup truck turned left in front of the westbound motorcycle, which collided with the side of the truck at about 7:30 a.m.

The 41-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to the trauma center with life-threatening injuries. His passenger, who had non-life threatening injuries, was also taken to the trauma center. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

A small section of Roger was closed from Flowing Wells Road to Tuttle Avenue for the investigation of the accident.
