New suicide prevention training is happening at the Fort Huachuca army base.  National guard leaders went to a six hour training program, where they learned how to train other soldiers to intervene with those at risk for suicide.  These 15 are the first to be trained in the state.

The purpose of this training program is to establish steps soldiers can take to prevent suicides. The new model includes role playing scenarios to make it more interactive.
