Accident wrecks dump truck; driver suffers only minor injuries

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Crews from Northwest Fire responded to the scene of an accident involving  semi on the northwest side of Tucson this morning.

The call came in shortly after 9 a.m. Monday morning, according to Capt. Adam Goldberg from NWFD, about a possible overturned semi truck near Tangerine Road and Dove Mountain Blvd. 

According to the release when crews arrived they found a tandem dump truck had veered off the road after losing control.  The back trailer had flipped up onto the first trailer, said the release, both trailers had serious damage.  The driver had been wearing a seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries, said the release.  He was treated by NWFD paramedics at the scene and released. 

There were no road closures due to this incident.  

Marana Police were on scene to conduct an investigation into the cause of the accident.
