Provisions Made to Increase Parts Availability, AOG Assistance and Technical Support
Dassault Falcon Jet announced plans to provide additional onsite support for operators attending the month-long 2014 FIFA World Cup, to be held in Brazil, June 12-July 13.
"With our company-owned service center in Sorocaba and a team of highly trained field service representatives in the area, we are well positioned to provide support for operators attending this popular global event," said Jacques Chauvet, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Customer Service. "However, to ensure we provide 'above and beyond' support, we've made further provisions, including increasing spares inventory and establishing a dedicated on-site team of field service representatives to spearhead 24/7 AOG support during the World Cup." The field reps will be supported by the GoTeam at the Dassault Aircraft Services - Sorocaba facility, just 62 miles from São Paulo.
The Sorocaba service center is a part 145 repair station with both ANAC and FAA certifications. It came on line in 2009 and has expanded its capabilities significantly since. The center can perform line maintenance and airframe inspections on all Falcon models as well as engine maintenance on the
CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731-series and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A and PW308C engines. It also houses a full service battery shop capable of repairing, replacing and charging main and emergency batteries on Falcon and other aircraft models.
"Planning for the world's biggest sporting event was achieved in great part thanks to operator feedback through our- 'Let Us Know Before You Go' -program, accessible through the Falcon Customer Portal," said Chauvet. "This program allows operators to advise us on planned aircraft movements helping us anticipate and ensure the provision of mission-critical support and parts."
With a fleet of more than 50 Falcons, Brazil has become a leading market for Dassault business jets since the first Falcon was delivered in mid-1970s.
