Car vs. bike accident in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A bicyclist is in possibly severe condition after being struck by a passenger car Friday morning in Montgomery.

The Montgomery Police Department says the adult male bicyclist was attempting to cross the street in the 4200 block of Norman Bridge Road when he was struck by a red Honda Accord.

Based on photos taken from the scene by a WSFA 12 News photojournalist, the bicyclist was struck by the car on its front passenger side. The fender and windshield of the vehicle were heavily damaged in the collision.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No injuries were reported regarding the car's occupants.
