3 people injured in accident on I-10 near Cortaro

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

An accident involving a van and a semi truck closed I-10 westbound near Cortaro Sunday afternoon, according to Northwest Fire PIO Adam Goldberg.

A state agency transportation van was transporting two young children in car seats, the van rear-ended a semi truck. The driver of the van was trapped in the vehicle. The two children suffered minor to serious injuries. The driver of the semi trick was not injured.

The two children and the driver of the van were taken to the hospital, they are all in stable condition. All lanes have since been reopened and the scene has been cleared.

    The Arizona Game and Fish Department has moved a bear to a new home, according to the department's tweet Sunday morning. It stated a young female bear was spotted on Mount Lemmon. Officials think it may have been the one on Wednesday near a youth camp.
