New officers for the Pima County Workforce Investment Board

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

New officers were elected for the Pima County Workforce Investment Board during its monthly meeting last week.

The three members who will hold new offices are Paul Roughton, Beverly Price, Rose Capono, while two members will retire and the former WIB chair, Gregg Johnson remains a member. 

Paul Roughton is the new Chair of the Board, his new two year term will begin July 1. He has been a member of the Workforce Board since 2010. 

Beverly Price will be the new 1st Vice-Chair and Planning Committee Chair, her new two year term will begin July 1.  She has been with the Workforce Board since 2007.

Rose Capono is the new 2nd Vice-Chair and Performance and Accountability Committee Chair, her one year term will start July 1.  She has been with the Workforce Board since 2010.

Workforce Investment Board members - Clayton Hamilton and Noreen Nelson will both retire from the board.

County One-Stop Career Center. The Workforce Investment board includes representatives of local businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions.  One-Stop works with employers in local growth, high-demand industry occupations to address their current and future workforce needs.
