D-M personnel participating in operational readiness exercises

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Davis-Monthan is holding a day-long operational readiness exercise today. 

Residents may see more planes than usual flying in the skies around Tucson. According to D-M officials A-10 jets will be working with combat search and rescue teams in an exercise in the area southeast of the city.  This readiness exercise will include more night flights, and residents living near the base may hear alarms, sirens and loudspeaker announcements during the course of the exercise. 

This readiness exercise is held to help ensure D-M airmen are at their highest level of proficiency and readiness for humanitarian and military missions around the world.
