WASHINGTON, DC (CNN) - If those newly-deployed U.S. troops do begin the process of evacuating the U.S. embassy in Iraq, it would be a massive undertaking.

The embassy in Baghdad is the largest U.S. diplomatic post in the world.

More than 5,000 people work and live within the fortified walls of the embassy compound.

It's virtually a city within a city, complete with a movie theater, swimming pool and tennis courts. It cost more than $700 million to build.
