TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Senator John McCain is scheduled to take a tour of the Nogales facility this evening.  He will be meeting with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and then talk to the media about his tour.

He will not be the only person touring the facility over the next few days.  A group of clergy and community leaders that were expected to tour the processing center with Congressman Raul Grijalva earlier this week; they will get a chance for a tour on Saturday.

Inside the facility there are nearly 900 children, ranging in age from infants to 17-year-olds.  They have been provided the basics, health care, food, water and telephone service.  From the images taken inside the building the children are held in what appears to be cages, they are supposed to be at the facility for only a day or two. Many have been there at least nine days so far.

"In theory this is supposed to be a two or three day hold…our system is overwhelmed," said Adelita Grijalva who got to see the center on a recent tour.

Two tours will happen over the next two days, Senator McCain today and clergy and other community members on Saturday.
