Housing recovery event for Pima County homeowners

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima County, the Attorney General's Office, the Arizona Department of Housing and the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Taskforce is holding a two day housing recovery event for residents of the county, according to a recent release. This event will give those hit hardest by the mortgage crisis, a chance to find out about new and expanded housing assistance programs.

On June 27 and 28 residents will be given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with HUD approved housing counselors and other experts to discuss the following:

Loan refinance and modification; one time recovery assistance (a one-time catch up payment); hardest hit assistance; scam awareness and prevention; legal services; plus relocation and employment assistance. 

Those attending are asked to bring the following current documents - mortgage statement, bank statement (two months), as well as prior tax returns, W-2s and a current income statement (two months).

The event will be held at the Pima County Housing Center (801 W. Congress St. Tucson 85745) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 27 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 28.
