HSSA hosting second free distemper vaccination clinic

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pet owners will have a second chance to get their dogs a free distemper vaccine, when the Humane Society of Southern Arizona hosts another mobile vaccination clinic.

According to a recent release from the HSSA they will be holding a second distemper mobile vaccination clinic this Saturday, June 28.  The mobile clinic will run from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the HSSA property (635 W. Roger Rd.)  DAPP vaccinations will be free for dogs; rabies vaccinations will also be available for $13 and a microchip for $15.  Cash only will be accepted during this mobile clinic, according to the release. 

There will be tents set up to keep participants cool, as well as water bowls for the canines to keep them hydrated.

Vets Dr. Rhonda Vasilopulos (Sunrise Pet Clinic) and Dr. Debra Bohnke (Cimarron Animal Hospital) and Dr. Denise Gordon (PAWS Veterinary Clinic) are volunteering their time to this clinic. 

HSSA will also be offering free DAPP vaccinations at their regular low-cost vaccination clinics until the end of July. These clinics are limited capacity and run from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
