Tucson, AZ (KOLD) - McKale Center is getting itself a facelift. This summer, construction crews will work from 5:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the morning tearing down and rebuilding the home of Wildcat basketball, gymnastics, and indoor volleyball all in the hopes of improving both the fan and competitive experience.

For example, there will be new and improved locker suites for women's basketball, more than double the square footage of their old locker room. Brand new flooring and lighting inside Lute and Bobbi Olson court, expanded concession areas and restrooms, not to mention new seating are just some of what's in story for the fans.

The timeline of completion for this $30 million dollar project is quick. The court is to be ready for play when Wildcat volleyball has it's first game September 1st.
