Men's Wearhouse clothing drive aims to collect 150,000 items

Posted: Updated:

Men's Wearhouse is holding its annual National Suit Drive, which occurs simultaneously in Canada and the United States and is North America's largest collection of men's gently used professional clothing.

This will be the seventh year that Men's Wearhouse is hosting this effort to encourage people to transform their unwanted business attire into a fresh start for millions of disadvantaged men who are trying to re-enter the workforce.

More than 900 Men's Wearhouse locations across the U.S. will collect men's and women's suits, shirts, jackets, ties, belts, and shoes to distribute to about 180 local charities. These charities mentor, coach, and outfit those who are re-entering the workforce so they can make a great first impression.

The drive's goal is to collect 150,000 items.

More information about the program can be found at www.nationalsuitdrive.com.

Donors will receive a coupon for 50% off their next purchase.

Men's Wearhouse is also hoping to raise awareness on social media, and will donate up to $20,000 with a $1 donation for every use of the hashtag #giveasuit on Twitter and Instagram.

It's easy to help Men's Wearhouse on social media:
