TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Midtown drivers will encounter construction headaches this week as Tucson Department of Transportation officials perform some asphalt maintenance work.

Crews began enhancing 22nd Street between Country Club Road and Tucson Boulevard on Wednesday. This work should wrap up by Friday, July 11.

While construction takes place, expect delays on 22nd Street Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Business and residential access should not be affected by this.

Drive carefully in all construction zones. Watch for people and equipment in the area.
