TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Expect driving delays on the northeast side as drainage pipe work takes place on Sunrise Road.

Pima County Department of Transportation crews began construction on Wednesday. They should wrap up their roadwork by Friday, June 27.

Plan for restrictions on eastbound Sunrise Road between Hacienda Del Sol and Pontatoc Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Drive slowly, approach the construction zone with caution and plan for extra travel time.

Skyline Drive is also an alternate option for travelers to avoid this area altogether.
