(ISIS Photo/CNN) – ISIS released a photo showing their occupation of Tal Agar Airbase in Iraq about 70 km west of Baghdad.

The Islamic state in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, is a Sunni Muslim extremist group formerly linked to al-Qaeda.

Al-Qaeda has since denounced ISIS.

They have taken over large swaths of Iraq, with the Iraqi military frequently fleeing from them.
