TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The red, white and blue is trying to move on to the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup.

It seems like the wait for this match was so much longer than the others.  Here is a quick rundown on what this match means for the U.S.

They play Belgium at 1 p.m. Tucson time, so all those mega fans out there have plenty of time to head to the nearest sports bar, TV or even laptop to watch the U.S. team play.

Belgium is favored to win this game, but that will not stop fans from cheering for the red, white and blue. The two played a friendly match in Cleveland in 2013, and Belgium won 4 to 2.

The U.S. is playing with house money at this point. If they were to win, they would move on to the quarterfinals, which would the U.S. team's third time in history and its first since 2002.

Tucson News Now's Sports Director, Damien Alameda spoke with FC Tucson General Manager Jon Pearlman about the match happening this afternoon.

"In terms of what we need to do to win that match is defend well and find some of the answers on the counterattack.  Belgium has weapons, but I think we are well suited to put this game into a difficult situation for them."

Again the U.S. team plays Belgium at 1 p.m. Tucson time, the winner of the match advances to the Quarterfinals.
