SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A woman suspected of selling heroin in the Sierra Vista area faces multiple drug charges after an arrest at a traffic stop.

Sierra Vista Police pulled over Jacqueline Brittain, 24, on June 26 and a police canine alerted officers to drugs in the car, according to police officials.

Police found a plastic bag containing a black tar substance they said was consistent with heroin. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Brittain’s home in the 4300 block of Avenida Palermo and found more than nine grams of heroin, according to a news release.

Authorities booked Brittain into the Cochise County Jail and charged her with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, and transport of narcotic drugs. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
