TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

An arrest has been made in connection to the homicide investigation happening in the Three Points area, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

PCSD made the arrest late on Wednesday evening. 51-year-old Donald Stewart was brought in for questioning after several search warrants were served at several different locations.

According to PCSD after questioning Stewart was booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of first degree murder.

The incident began after a man was reported missing yesterday in the Three Points area. PCSD began a search for the man in the desert near Phillips Road and Sierrita Mountain Road.

Investigators say they found the missing man dead in an abandoned well about 25 feet down. It took PCSD's Search and Rescue Unit, the Pima Regional Bomb Squad and Northwest Fire Department to remove the body from the well. The identity of the missing man has not been released yet, pending family notification.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
