ROANOKE (WSLS) - A lightning strike caused a home in SW Roanoke to catch fire Thursday afternoon.

Roanoke Fire-EMS crews say the fire started at a home in the 1400 block of 2nd St. SW around noon, and they arrived shortly after to find smoke coming from the top of the home.

It's unclear how many people were in the home at the time the fire started, but fire crews say everyone made it out of the house without injury. Two firefighters sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Three adults are now displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Damage estimates weren't immediately available.
