A big Fourth of July celebration is happening today in the City of Bisbee.

It all starts with the coaster races right in the middle of downtown.

The Bisbee Coaster Race starts at West Boulevard and ends in front of the post office. The race track is a mile and a half and it's pretty much all downhill. They call this race the oldest, longest and probably the fastest gravity powered race in the world.

This is all part of the Fourth of July celebration in Bisbee, that includes mucking, rock drilling, and fireworks, but the longest running tradition in the city is the coaster race. The first race began back in 1914.

Today the races start at 8 am.
