Emergency crews battled an apartment fire on the Fourth of July in Clifton Heights.
It was reported at about 6:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Wheeler Street. Fire officials said a resident on the second floor of the building reported the fire after a smoke detector went off.
Upon arrival, crews found the fire on the third floor and had it under control in less than 20 minutes.
Everyone made it out of the residence safely. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
The Cincinnati Fire Department said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
