TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A car owner is in shock after Saturday evening’s monsoon uprooted a tree that left his car totaled.
AC Chavez said he was about to leave his apartment for a movie with his three children, but waited for the storm to pass. He looked at his back window to see a tree crushing his car.
A large branch broke through the driver side windshield, but Chavez said he’s more alarmed about the branches that smashed up the backseat where his three children typically sit.
“It would have killed me kids,” said Chavez. “I don’t even want to think about it.”
Nobody was hurt by the falling tree.
