CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

The Reds will send four players to the All Star Game in Minnesota.

Todd Frazier, Devin Mesoraco and Johnny Cueto will be going to their first mid-summer classic. Aroldis Chapman will be making his third appearance in the game.

Frazier, Cueto and Chapman were all voted in by the players.  Devin Mesoraco was chosen by National League manager Mike Matheny.

"I think it's validation to this point, you know," said Mesoraco. "It's half a season and not a full season that is finished yet. I've had a good half a season, but I need to keep going out there, striving to get better, keep doing the things that got me to this point and hopefully put together a good full season. I think that's my main focus."

Mesoraco is batting .307 this season with 15 home runs and 41 runs batted in.

Frazier leads all National League third basemen with 17 home runs and 47 RBI.

"I'm juiced, I'm very happy," said first time All-Star Todd Frazier.  "It was a players' choice, too, so that makes it even better. Hopefully, I can get a couple hits and help the team out. That would be awesome. Coming into this year I didn't think of being an All Star. It's a dream come true.

Aroldis Chapman will be on the All Star roster a third consecutive year.  Johnny Cueto, with the second best ERA in the major leagues, will be pitching in the first All Star Game of his career.

The Reds last sent four players to the All Star Game in 2011.

The All Star Game is Tuesday July 15th on FOX.

You would think the time on the front lines got the best of Louis Mirabelli. He has spent a week fighting the Sawmill Fire, since the first 911 call came in southeast of Green Valley on Sunday, April 23, around noon. Since then, he's been sleeping in tents, under the smoky stars, with a regimented three square meals a day.
