Milling work to begin Tuesday on Homer Davis Enhancement Project

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Milling work on Romero Road as part of the Homer Davis Transportation Enhancement Project is set to begin on Tuesday, July 8.

Romero Road between Wetmore Road and Roger Road will be milled for future paving beginning at 5:30 a.m., according to the Pima Country Department of Transportation. Construction is expected to be completed on Thursday, July 10, 2014.

The final paving of Romero Road is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14. The Department of Transportation does not expect any serious delays for motorists.

The Homer Davis Enhancement Project has added sidewalks and paved bike lanes on Romero Road, in addition to improving draining along the street. The construction of two art walls near the entrance of Homer Davis Elementary School was also a feature of the project.
