TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A downtown closure will affect people driving, biking and even walking in the area for the rest of this week.

City of Tucson construction crews have shut down the 6th Avenue Underpass through Friday, while workers apply graffiti protective coating paint on the bridge.

The hours for this project are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During this time, you can detour to 7th Avenue or Stone Avenue.

The sidewalks along the underpass will also remain closed, which will force pedestrians or bicycles to detour as well.
