TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Pima County Sheriff's Department investigators have new details on the deputy-involved shooting from Wednesday.

According to investigators, the weapon in Slade Olsen’s possession at the time of the shooting was a BB gun.

The release said a homeowner/victim contacted 911 after confronting and disarming Slade Olsen. The homeowner was also carrying a weapon. The homeowner was told to distance himself from Olsen and went outside with both his weapon and Olsen's.

Olsen then confronted the victim with a weapon he had allegedly found inside the home, according to PCSD officials. He allegedly attempted to trade the weapon for the handgun the victim had taken from him earlier.

PCSD deputies said Olsen had the victim cornered on the front porch when they arrived on the scene. According to a PCSD release, Olsen allegedly pointed a rifle at Deputy Justin Meeboer, who fired his weapon in fear for his life.

Olsen is facing the following charges - two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument and burglary in the first degree.
